Thank you for joining us in studying the book of Habakkuk.

Unlike every other Old Testament prophetic book, Habakkuk opens with the prophet addressing Yahweh, and coming judgment is announced through Habakkuk’s wrestling with Yahweh’s purposes. At the heart of Habakkuk’s prophecy is reconciling the Lord’s righteousness with tolerated injustice- the perversion of justice in Judah, and the injustice of Yahweh’s methods of judgement. Despite the inability to comprehend Yahweh’s plans, the righteous will live by faith.
