SDI's classes are organized under the following categories:

LIFE AT SCC

Life At SCC offers a biblical view of the church community and how each person should strive to function within that community. From worship to service, this course explores community engagement, both within and outside of the church, and naturally follows our membership class.

SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES

The Spiritual Disciplines course explores how to fulfill God’s command to train ourselves in godliness. The Christian life is both a dependence on and a relentless pursuit of God. As we seek to reach the stature of Christ, the Spiritual Disciplines are God’s means for us to accomplish Christlikeness.

BIBLE STUDY METHODS 2

In Bible Study Methods 2 students will hone and practice methods of interpretation for understanding Scripture learned in Bible Study Methods 1 by applying those methods to the literary types (genres) of the New and Old Testaments. *Requires Bible Study Methods 1

CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP

This course will explore the nature of Christian leadership, especially in the Church, including its defining characteristics, how to assess leadership, how leadership manifests itself, and leadership cultures.

  • Dates: Mondays | 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. | January 20 – March 10 (5 Sessions over 8 weeks)
