Grief Share Support Group

It hurts to lose someone. Find help at Grief Share, a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

Our 13 week Grief Share support group started January 24, 2019 and is held Thursday nights, 6:30-8:30pm at Snohomish Community Church 13622 Dubuque Rd Snohomish WA in the sanctuary. You can still attend anytime, please register here and get more information at griefshare.org.


SCC Ministry Academy

SCC Academy is a church-wide discipleship ministry that offers strategic short-term courses to promote spiritual maturity among the believers of Snohomish Community Church. Each course is taught by a Masters Seminary professor through the Institute of Church Leadership in a video format. The Masters Seminary charges $70 per person to take the course. Next Registration period will be in 2019.


Our Connections class is designed to help you get familiar with who we are and what we're all about. The class is scheduled often, and is the first step toward church membership. See this page for more info, schedule, and signup forms.

MOPS

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a Christ-centered opportunity for moms to meet for encouragement, food, friendship and growth. Moms receive support and companionship as well as helpful tips from our guest speakers on raising children and building a stronger home. During each meeting our children are well-cared for by fabulous volunteers in our MOPPETS program.

We want to help men make the most of their life by being real while we pursue being who God has made us to be. We do this by getting together regularly for monthly breakfasts, in small groups (which we call life groups), at our biannual retreat and engaging in activities (hiking, biking, golfing, etc.).

At Snohomish Community Church we love students! MSM and HSM are a place for middle school and high school students to feel welcome and find a place where they can grow in relationships, both with God and others.


Meeting Times

Sundays

  • Middle School: Sundays at 9:45am

  • High School: Sundays at 11:15am

Thursdays

  • Middle and High School: Life Groups Thursdays at 6:30pm


Worship Services (Sundays)

We have gatherings of Middle School and High School Students that meet on Sundays for fun, worship, teaching and some brief small group time. This is our large group event for the week.

  • Middle School: 9:45am in the Student Center

  • High School: 11:15am in the Student Center

Student Life Groups

Student Life Groups are your chance to connect with other students going through the same things you are and a mentor to help take you to the Bible to figure it all out. High School and Middle School Groups meet on Thursday nights at 6:30pm. 

Student Life Groups will pause for Spring Break and Easter, we will resume on April 25th.

Our auction to benefit Student Ministry missions and Quiz Team is coming up! We will have a silent auction followed by dinner and a live auction. This is an event you won’t want to miss! Tickets are $15 for 1 and $25 for 2.

We are currently accepting donations that include a variety of gifts, services and time to help raise money for our teens!  We will be collecting items of $40 value or higher through April 14. Donation forms are available in the church office and at the Welcome Counter.


High school Mission Trip - Ensenada, MX - June 23-29

In summer of 2019, we have the opportunity to travel to Mexico and live out God’s call to reach the nations with the good news of Jesus. We will be serving in the communities surrounding Ensenada by helping build houses, serving families who live in impoverished conditions, as well as supporting a church and running children’s programs. We will be partnering with YUGO Ministries again this year, to find out more about them visit Yugo.org.

If you have a 4th or 5th Grader we would love for them to join us for a fun spring retreat at Black Diamond Camp in Auburn, Wa. Come hang with us for 1 night and 1 full day crammed full of fun games, swimming, hanging out with friends, meaningful messages that cultivate relationship with God, reflection time in small groups and much more! We'll check in at SCC at 3:30PM on the 26th, and return around 8:00PM on the 27th. Registration is now closed.

Awana is a great time for kids to have fellowship with one another, play fun games and most importantly, learn God’s word in a smaller group setting where we focus on discipling. Join us Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00!

Route 66 Monday Bible Class

Meets normally on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Mondays of the month, 10:30-11:30am in the Student Center (There are a few holiday exceptions). Every lesson features careful Bible exposition, practical life applications, and detailed printed take-home notes.

Roadside Diner Luncheon Series

Roadside Diner meets on the 3rd (or 2nd) Monday of the month, 12:00-2:00pm in the Student Center. We always start with lunch at noon. Sometimes the Diner provides the all or part of the meal—and sometimes we do potluck.  Watch the church bulletin and/or your mailbox for monthly food specifics.

Grandparents At Prayer (GAP) Group

Grandparents are invited to join the GAP group that meets on the first Sunday of each month (although it is sometimes changed due to church calendar events) at 8:15 am (during the first service) in Room B7 as we gather together to share devotions and pray for our grandchildren.

Is celebrated on the second Sunday in September each year as we honor and give thanks for grandparents.

Grandparenting Classes

Are offered at various times during the year to bring grandparents together for fellowship and to study God’s Word and new resource materials.

Grandparents Night OUt

An informal gathering of grandparents who would like to know more about being intentional Christian grandparents. We will enjoy a time for treats and fellowship, showing videos of excellent general session speakers from the recent 2019 Legacy Coalition Grandparenting Conference and end with discussion and prayer.

Meets April 23 and 30th, May 7 from 6:45pm to 8:30pm.

SCC offers marriage enrichment opportunities throughout the year to help couples strengthen their marriage to last a lifetime.


Preparing for Marriage

Are you engaged or considering getting engaged in the near future? Preparing for Marriage will help you learn about God’s blueprint for marriage and help you evaluate as a couple your readiness for marriage. This will be a 5 session course on Sunday afternoons in April and May. Contact familylife@wearescc.org for more information.

A weekend away (held every other year) at a special venue for a program that includes marriage enrichment teaching, worship, fellowship, and times for couples to focus on each other.

Marriage Conferences and Seminars

Special marriage enrichment programs held at SCC on a Friday night or Friday-Saturday in the winter or spring every other year.
