Brock and Rachel Welge (Garrett, Caleb, Jane)

We are Brock and Rachel Welge serving with Pacific Mission Aviation (PMA) on the island of Palau in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.  We have three wonderful children Garrett (12), Caleb (9), and Jane (7). Our family has been members of SCC since 2016.  We started serving with PMA on a six-month internship. In 2021, we became full-time missionaries with PMA after Brock resigned at Boeing. Brock is serving in the aviation ministry as the Director of Maintenance and the Base Manager in Palau.  He also gets to serve as pilot to the outer islands where he performs medivacs, sea searches, disaster relief, passenger flights, medicine and cargo flights, and provides logistical help to the remote islands in order to serve basic needs of the people.  Brock and Rachel also serve at the Pacific Mission Fellowship, PMA’s local church, where Brock gets to preach on occasion and they both lead Bible studies. Additionally, they facilitate a Bible study in the outer island of Angaur, that helps provide for the spiritual needs of the people there.  While Brock is busy with the aviation ministry, Rachel gets to homeschool their 3 children.  Pacific Mission Aviation has aviation bases in Palau and Yap with plans to expand to the Philippines and Pohnpei. Our ministries at PMA use two King Airs, two Queen Airs, an Islander, and three Cessna 206 airplanes.  We have church plants in Palau, Yap, Pohnpei, and the Philippine islands in addition to an orphanage in the Philippines. We also operate Christian radio stations, a printing shop, and a medical ship.  PMA exists to bring hope and change lives with the Good News of Jesus Christ for the Glory of God.  We are so thankful for the prayers and support of our SCC family!
